Old School Gaming at its finest
Alright, after 3 seasons and the start of a fourth I’ll leave a glowing review. This podcast is a great show of the classic gaming groups from halcyon days of yore. I found it as someone looking to hear an example of DCC played live, and the first episodes deliver that perfectly. The group is funny, they bicker (Carl, I’m on your side forever), they get rules wrong and are fed up with each other sometimes, but it’s just like you were sitting down at your own table with friends. I really love this show, and whilst the audio might be hit or miss sometimes in the middle seasons, the new series with “Judge X” seems to be clear sailing so far, and enters a new world with home brew and as of yet un-revealed lore. So for anyone looking to listen in, now is a perfect time. Now, gimme that lore dump behind your elves and hairless dwarves Judge X, I’m looking at you.

I mean, the thief in the party crits with every single attack for some reason, and they’re straight up in Gygax’s World of Greyhawk, and the monsters are all playing with 5E rules, and they’re using...Read full review »
