#23 Come On! Hurry Up!! Getting Out the GD Door w/o Constantly Rushing the Kids
Listen now
Description
HOLY SH*T KIDS ARE SO F'ING SLOW! It's just the truth. Our children do NOT move as quickly as we do. They don't hold onto urgency (a butterfly is STILL worth looking at, even when the plane leaves in an hour), and it often feels like the more you push, the harder they pull. Those "Hurry Up!" arguments are the worst, so how do we maintain some modicum of punctuality without constantly rushing our kids? Can you train your pokey hellions to get a move on when they really need to, while still allowing for the leisurely ultra-presence that makes childhood so special? And - in a world obsessed pace and productivity - how can we remind ourselves to make the distinction between moments when the urgency is real, and times when it honestly doesn't matter. Press play. Hurry up. Do it. Do it!! Holy hell, take forever, why don't you?!
