“For those who aren't familiar with him, Milt Rosenberg hosted a radio talk show on WGN in Chicago for nearly 40 years, and during that time, it was the best show on radio without question. A consummate Renaissance man, Rosenberg retired from the University of Chicago as a professor of sociology, and his intellectual curiosity casts a wide net that encompasses literature, cosmology, history, jazz, religion, literature, and politics--to name just a few topics. Not only smart, he's also a natural-born raconteur who keeps the conversational ball rolling in a thoroughly engaging way (he's sort of an intellectual Johnny Carson in this regard). As someone who leans slightly leftward politically, I disagree with Rosenberg's solidly conservative stance on political issues (he has a lot of disdain toward Obama, for instance). But despite our political differences, I keep coming back for more for one simple reason: Milt's shows are a continual source of lively conversations well-seasoned with wit and with intellectual depth so lacking in the media as a whole.”
