Samhita Nelamangala is a 4th year MD/MBA student at the University of Virginia's School of Medicine and Darden School of Business. She received her bachelor's degree in Leadership and Public Policy from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia, which will make her a triple hoo come graduation.  Her career goal is simple: empower female-identifying individuals in every possible way. She is passionate about improving reproductive health access and health literacy and also hopes to dedicate her career to improving gender equity in healthcare leadership. She recently matched at Vanderbilt for her Ob-Gyn residency and is excited to start her next chapter of training. In her free time, you can find her mentoring medical students, playing with her precious nieces and nephews, and cuddling baby goats.
