This week on Mitts & Chicks we are so excited to welcome Paikea Baylis of the Black Girl Hockey Club! We talked with Paikea about growing up as a female hockey player of color and her journey to becoming the brilliant left-winger she is. We also chatted about the incredible organization that is the Black Girl Hockey Club, which offers everything from scholarships, resources, and mentorship programs to young people of color. Most importantly, we discussed the waves that the BGHC's Get Uncomfortable campaign has created, and why we encourage everyone to take the pledge and stand up against racism, on and off the ice.
