Medical marijuana — also called medical cannabis — is a term for derivatives of the Cannabis sativa plant that are used to relieve serious and chronic symptoms. However, in Malaysia, Malaysian legislation provides for a mandatory death penalty for convicted drug traffickers. Till today, marijuana is still illegal in Malaysia. Why? What are the concerns if we follow South Korea and Thailand to be the third country to legalize medical marijuana in Asia?
