12: Defending Human Rights
Listen now
Description
Human rights allow us to work and to move freely. On the move, refugees and migrants are also entitled to rights and protections. But, what happens when these rights are violated or abused. Who is responsible for ensuring these rights and for investigating abuses? Who are Human Rights Defenders? Large international organisations or people like you or me? In this episode we’re trying to answer these questions by speaking to Christian Friis Bach, Secretary General of the Danish Refugee Council, Erin Kilbride, of Front Line Defenders and Matt Smith, co-founder and CEO of Fortify Rights.
