1: Communities in Crisis
Listen now
Description
Have you ever wondered how a refugee community of almost two thirds of a million deals with displacement? How about what keeps them going or how they support themselves? To open the new season we're exploring these questions and speaking to some of the nearly 700,000 Rohingya refugees across camps Bangladesh. We'll see how it feels to be away from a place of instability that you called home and what you do to keep you and everyone you love, going. We also speak to Dr Neena Jain of Embolden Alliances, an organisation working with Bangladeshi partners responding to the needs of the refugees. Warning: Some of the content may be upsetting to listeners. #neena #jain #embolden #alliances #NGO #Bangladesh #two #season #rohingya #muslim #minority #bangladesh #camps #myanmar #rakhine #aid #station #shamlapur #unchiprang #doctors #nurses #medicine #health #welfare #podcast #episode #MOAS #migrant #offshore #aid #station #moaspodcast #survey #burning #villages #xchange.org #cox's #bazar #nayapara #kutupalong
