Listen now
Description
In this episode, we're excited to share the journey of Farah and Omar Emara, the siblings behind FreshSource. Launched in 2018, FreshSource is a startup that's reshaping Egypt's agricultural sector by seamlessly integrating technology with supply chain logistics. Farah and Omar Emara are passionate Egyptian entrepreneurs who are dedicated to addressing inefficiencies in the agricultural value chain. In a country where producers face an average food loss of 45%, their work is making a real difference. They are not only reducing this loss but also increasing farmers' income. They have extended their vision to FreshSource Global, a venture aimed at managing the delivery of fresh produce from farms to businesses in the most efficient way possible. Collaborating with a diverse range of vendors, including farmers, FreshSource Global supplies fresh fruits and vegetables to a variety of businesses, from local restaurants and hotels to online retailers.
