Lots of potential
I get it - all podcasts have that first episode, where they go into orbit and see where it lands. I think this one has a lot of potential to be an awesome podcast. Mothers come in all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. And the journey to healthy body image mentality is deeper than just putting on cute clothes. I get that this podcast is aiming to be raw and funny and refreshingly blunt. But I think it would also be really great to include mothers who don’t even have time to book a hair appointment, let alone a date night. Maybe having a specialist on once in awhile to share their knowledge of working with mothers trying to reclaim their homeostasis postpartum. ‘Accept yourself!’ doesn’t come easy to average mother with little to no time for self-care. The reach of the podcast could be fantastic. Just maybe a little less polarizing. A bit more relatable. And coming from this 34 year-old mom of a 2 year-old, I’m really not concerned if NY or LA moms are having more sex.
