“I’ve enjoyed the show for a while because you’re both legitimately entertaining guys and the topics tend to be fun, and for this reason I’ve been willing to overlook your occasional attempts to deviate into more serious discussions where you’re often laughably out of your element. You have the ability to discuss frivolous things of no consequence, but lack even a rudimentary grasp of history, economics, finance, politics, etc., so when you attempt to share your banal opinions in any of these areas you end up embarrassing yourselves. In general, these attempts to delve into consequential topics are infrequent enough that I can ignore them, but after a bout of Eamonn’s non-sequitur babbling where he felt compelled to label another (exponentially more successful) podcaster as a “right wing extremist”, I had to call it quits. Not agreeing to go along with someone else’s harmful fantasy isn’t “extreme”, any more than it would be extreme to not indulge a bulimic telling you they’re fat. Mental illness is mental illness. You feign compassion for those suffering mental health struggles frequently, yet indulge the very delusions that end up steering them off a cliff, and for what? To avoid offending? Reality isn’t offensive or “extreme”, but craven cowardice is. Eamonn….You are a coward. Stick to discussing the imaginary. Accepting reality often compels scrutiny and you clearly don’t have the intellectual honesty or conviction of character to withstand it. Thanks for the laughs, you’re good at discussing the absurd, but pandering cowardice gets old.”
