“First, I enjoy the show overall. I like that experiencers have a place to call and just vent their stories, and have something of a support system from other listeners/experiencers. What I don’t like is after nearly each story the host, Derek, try’s everything in his power to make their story seem mundane. Right down to “ball lightning” explanations. I don’t even mind the voice, but listening to a sinister, spooky voice explain away someone’s story in a mundane way just seems silly.
Some callers are suspect, like the ones who write their story down horror novel style, instead of just recounting it naturally as they go. But the genuine ones I doubt they call in just to have their experience explained away each and every time by the host, when I’m sure they’ve done some kind of research into their own experiences. I know I have when I’ve had an experience. Just minor gripes to an overall good show. Just give them the space to tell their stories, and stop trying to give them the swamp gas explanation afterward dude.”
