Really interesting and well done
Even if you have moon-landing anniversary fatigue, Lucille Cunningham’s Moonrise podcast (from the Washington Post) is fascinating. It zooms way out in time, history and culture to explain how and why Americans went to the moon. Her perspective is much broader than just the Soviet-U.S. rivalry. I never considered the role of science fiction. But she weaves it in beautifully. And I really like her narration style.

I enjoyed the podcast but as many have said it is S. L. O. W. 🐌 Speed it up x1 1/2 and it feels normal and engaging instead of 😑😴zzzzzz

Slow start, repetitive especially if you listen to the trailer. Lots of gaps in the narrative to try and build suspense. Right now it’s just so-so.

I thought this follow up podcast of Presidential would be a series of interviews with astronauts and scientists asking them what it would be like to go on a date with the moon. Unfortunately it’s just an interesting and surprising story about our journey to the moon.
