Stretched Too Thin
I’m a long-time podcast listener and understand that podcasts need ad revenue to survive, but the number of ads for this approximately 30-minute podcast are way too distracting. Although Smerling has put out well-produced podcasts, I feel cheated by this one. The story is being stretched way too thin over time with way-too-short episodes and constant ad interruptions. Also, Smerling needs to check his pronouns: “Join . . . I this Friday night on FX . . . .” Listeners lose respect when a writer and host sounds dumb.

Could have been great, but the flow of the story completely ruined by relentless ad breaks. Do your ads at the start or end.

Just started this, and I like it so far. This question may be coming too early into it, but I’m wondering why it matters what a reporter did. Shouldn’t the person who brutally killed his wife and kids be the one we’re calling morally indefensible?
