“It’s so refreshing to hear a woman read the Bible!
I’ve been trying to find a Bible podcast for weeks. One with just the Bible - no commentary or music. I’ve enjoyed videos and sermons and historical research/apologetics in the past, but with the things going on in my life lately, I knew I needed as much pure, undiluted Truth as possible. But the rare Bible recordings that I found were all recorded by non-natural, booming male voices.
I just wanted something natural, normal, calming...and it dawned on me at the same time that a woman’s voice was even rarer than this “natural voice”. Which was strange; it got me wondering if I should record my own! So I was so excited when I stumbled on this a week ago. I love it so much. It’s pure, unadulterated words from the Bible, with no distracting synthesizer music and no deep booming, “thus saith the Lord” voice. Monica’s voice is perfect for this - I just hope she continues!
