Porn, interesting take
I just listened to episode 17. It was interesting and I appreciated the open dialogue on the subject and hearing this couples story. I have always thought that sex needed to be emphasized in a more positive light to our youth which I have made efforts to do as a YW leader. Is it possible to embrace sexuality without embracing porn? I think yes. When I think of the porn stars I think of the damage that is done to these troubled young girls as they are paid for sex, something that should be a beautiful experience with a loved one is turned into a business proposition. There have been some very dramatic suicides within the sex industry as a result of this damaging practice. Here we have a different kind of fruit related to porn. I wonder if Mitzi said she was attracted to many other men could she just "incorporate" them into her "healthy" sex life? Just some thoughts on a complicated and thought provoking subject. Also, no mention was made of following the addiction recovery program which is the churches attempt to address this problem. It would have been nice to hear more probing questions from the host along with the many affirmations that she offered.
