This is a fascinating discussion! Bruce Porter's current research is on a hierarchy of Eternal Law all the way down to Principles and Policies. Bruce gives it straight and direct as per usual. Have we culturally become communicators of Principles in place of Eternal Laws in the Church? To me, this is obvious. How often do we hear about Exaltation anymore or Eternal Truths such as Mercy Cannot Rob Justice? Are Doctrines truths? Are the Commandments doctrine?
