The main root cause of Depression is FEAR. FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN (A state of anxiety and uncertainty i.e restlessness due to expectations that are not real) Fear makes you want to stay indoors and prevent you from interacting with people The next root cause of Depression is COMPARISON. (Wanting to be like others i.e. you want to be a duplicate version of someone) It's not what happens to you that matters most but how you interpret what happens to you THAT MATTERS Most. Depression creates a state of general emotional dejection that is filled with prolonged sadness beyond a reasonable cause. Your journey to recovery starts when you discover something bigger than your pain (Vision, Purpose) Your experiences and challenges are what strengthen you to build capacity The first step to overcoming Depression is to admit that you are a victim of Depression. WHY? Because WHATEVER YOU DON'T ADMIT YOU CAN'T CHANGE The next step to overcoming Depression is to learn to love yourself Proverbs 12:25
