So good
Highlight and what brought me to the podcast was that Eric Christian Olsen (Community, NCIS Los Angeles) voices the character Vant. Stayed with it because I loved the back and forth between “current” and Vant’s past. There were a few graphic things I could have done without, in Crash Town especially, but I see how the author wanted to show the.. color of the environment they were in. (If you are more sensitive to hedonistic behaviors, listen with caution.) Overall though I feel this was really well done and I didn’t feel like I was getting lost in any of the scenes where I had to go back and relisten like in other stories. There were a few times when Vant would think to himself that I had to rewind and turn the volume up, and some of the action scenes that I had to turn it down. I feel this was really well produced and soundscaped. Will listen again (even though I’ll likely skip a few scenes here and there along the way).

More reviews of Mortal Enemy
This is not only an amazing story, but all around fantastic and fully immersive production. Don’t know if I’ve ever been so lost in the world of an audiobook. The writer, the actors, the sound design, all of them worthy I have 1000 listenings. I cannot recommend Mortal Enemy enough!

There’s only so many references to penises and farts I can take in an otherwise fairly serious work before I want to yell enough already. And yet the last scene still manages to squeeze one more in. But if you can get...Read full review »
