“I ive on Bainbridge. I know people involved in this. It might feel disjointed because some key players obviously didn’t participate. Just like the book. Bainbridge Island is secretive, especially pre 2000 era.
The killer, met him once that I remember (after murder, pre arrest)- gross creepy guy. Definitely a loser with the ladies who found his hook. I knew his fiancé. Engaged AFTER the murder, church member, counseled by Nick before her first marriage ended ( I attended the first wedding at the original church on Bainbridge).
She’s one of the prettiest girls I have ever met, seriously. But she had difficulties that many can relate with. Sweet person too. I couldn’t understand why they were engaged. I think she was really sucked in by this church that benefited her with community when she really needed it. Maybe some people don’t understand that from this podcast, even though Christian, this church was a cult. Totally. From my view, and I have other experiences with evangelicals that are intense, this was a cult. This always felt like a cult . My opinion on this began in the mid 90s.
I hope the woman I knew has found peace. I know she has a successful business and was a good mother so no one should cast doubt on this otherwise strong woman. Or the other women included in this podcast. Life is crazy sometimes. And Nick is a horror who preyed on women.”
