The Ark has been opened
Can you imagine a radio to God? Well if instead the Nazi's and the Frenchman hadn't been there, and there were these four geeks in their place, I'd like to think the Ark would unleash something like Movie Meltdown. Every Tuesday for an hour and a half, my face drips onto the ground from the hilarity and genuine goodness that comes from my ear buds. If you enjoy basement/garage criticism that sometimes strays into off-topic discussions, and you want to keep up on the current blockbusters and travesties that Hollywood unleashes, while still hearkening back to the good old days when they didn't have any fancy computers, this is the podcast for you. The focalization refuses to stay in one place for long, which, rather than giving a hectic and disorganized feel to it all, allows the Meltdown to transcend genre's, time periods, and the mortal plane as the podcast propels itself unto another level above mere reviews and onto a sphere that resonates with all of us, certainly all of us geeks. But seriously, the format of M.M. is a return to what makes your friends, friends: damn good conversation. The critical eye isn't as dominant as the group discussion, and just plain old fun. They aren't going to lead any marches or rally's anytime soon, but Brian, Misty, Rodger, and Jay(?) are as articulate and intelligent about their opinions, as they are knowledgeable about the movies that spark those feelings. Tune in, kick back, and just listen. I guarantee you'll enjoy. They get better as they go by-the-way, so don't give up on the first couple.

I know you all have to get paid somehow, but that's crazy. Not sure I'm going to stay subscribed at this point. The show will have to be...Read full review »
