“An absolute pleasure. I prefer the episodes where the hosts delight in expressing their distaste for the film they’ve chosen- granted those episodes are somewhat few and far between, but thankfully, the entertainment value of the episodes featuring positive reviews are just as worth listening to. Mainly because there’s always humor, and interesting insights into the films they’re discussing. There’s also a very welcoming vibe to the conversations. Part of what makes it work so well is that the hosts seem genuinely happy to be talking to each other, and consequently, it makes you feel happy to sit their and listen to them. I also think Carolina is unfairly maligned. She’s a very smart, and funny person. She does a great job of trying to reel in Frank- who sometimes can go on rather lengthy tangents. I say “sometimes” with a wink and a nod. That being said, Frank is the glue of this podcast, and has a wealth of movie knowledge that’s “frankly” unrivaled. Ha? That leaves the incomparable Trace Beaulieu. He’s the perfect slightly cranky foil to Frank and Carolina’s more upbeat personalities, and cinematic sensibilities. Overall the only thing wrong with this podcast is that it’s sadly no longer in production. Maybe they’ll revive it..hopefully they’ll revive it…please revive it!!! Anyways..happy listening!”
