Let's start off with an apology to Michael Keaton. For decades now there have been debates over which actor is truly the best Batman and for decades Mr. Keaton has been disrespected and written off in that debate. If there is one good thing to say about this Flash movie it's that it has solidified Michael Keaton as THEE Batman that all others should live up to. Hands down. There is so much wrong with this movie (starting with a problematic and horribly miscast lead) but between Michael Keaton putting this movie on his back and Sasha Calle's criminally underused Supergirl, it's at least worth checking out. But let's make no mistake. Ezra Miller is one of the biggest problems with this film. Even outside of Miller's very disturbing and troubling criminal issues, Ezra was always miscast as Barry Allen. And now with this solo movie, there's two of them in this film and well, it just makes the miscast even more pronounce.  A bad lead, terrible CG and a script that takes the worst storylines from the Flash TV show and somehow do them even worse. That's what plagues this movie. But Keaton...Mr. Bruce Wayne...is good enough to keep this from being a complete disaster. Recast Ezra or do whatever. Just give me a full Batman film with Keaton as Batman. Give THAT to us. Oh and give Sasha Calle her Supergirl movie so she can properly shine. Like what you hear?
