I Enjoy It
I enjoy this podcast and the episodes are a good length and appreciate all the work that goes into creating such content. The only thing that is sometimes off-putting is the limited view on things. Comments such as “divorce is always a failure” or “even if you’re being honest, you shouldn’t date multiple people” I perceive as you all being a bit sheltered and closed minded (I’m a married woman btw). But on the 2/23/23 episode, it was almost like you all were blaming the victim even though he was being honest. If the other party cannot handle the honesty, that’s on them, not the honest person. The answer isn’t to tell consenting adults not to be honest and move how they want to move, the answer is telling consenting adults to have enough self worth to remove themselves from a situation if it isn’t ideal for them and not think they can change someone’s perspective. That just rubbed me the wrong way, because I do think we as a society have these weird biases surrounding victims who don’t behave in a way we deem to be “moral” (it’s like the, “well what were you wearing” when a woman is assaulted). Anywho, keep it up ladies! And Go Blue!!! Michigan alum like your parents, or at least your dad, can’t recall if both :-).

I’m a huge true crime fan. I appreciate the respectful and graceful tone used to share these very horrific and tragic human stories. My favorite is the takeaways at the end of the episode. Always leaves me pondering and reflecting.
