Wonderfully Researched and Produced, Nonetheless Heartbreaking
I love The Intercept, their journalists do amazing research and great investigative pieces on criminal justice, so I was really excited for this podcast. It hasn’t disappointed. I’ve listened to and read countless pieces about wrongful convictions in the U.S. (I live in Canada - our wrongful convictions and miscarriages of justice against black and Indigenous folks are much less publicized, though they certainty occur) and still every time I hear a new one it’s always just as heartbreaking as the previous one. The work these two journalists, their team, and the hard working attorneys are doing by uncovering this story, and shining a light on this issue, and ultimately trying to right a horrible wrong is so important and necessary. I deeply appreciate their commitment to their work and the pursuit of justice. Also, I find their voices to be really soothing, so that’s an added bonus.
