Lidberg received a dance commission from the Library of Congress and Martha Graham Dance Company, which resulted in the work "Woodland," set to the Notturno for strings and harp by Irving Fine. Eilber discusses the long and storied history of the Martha Graham Dance Company, and its ongoing relationship with the Library of Congress, which commissioned "Appalachian Spring."
