'If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power' is due out in 2020. It will be produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. There is currently no exact release date for the record. Mogwai Announces April 2022 North American Tour Mogwai just unveiled the routing for a tour that starts in April at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The group is supporting its 10th studio album, As The Love Continues, which was released in February. The North American outing is filled with gigs at iconic clubs and theaters. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 30 at 9 a.m. MelodyVR ended 2020 with 325k users… and a £26m operating loss Music startup, MelodyVR, has acquired Napster's moniker since its merger.  However, it released financial data for its last full year prior to the transaction, which ended on December 28, 2020.  The firm nearly doubled its user base to 325,000 and sold 40,000 concert tickets for Liam Gallagher concert. However, its cost of sales increased from £1.8 million to £5.6 million, and administrative expenditures were more than 27 times the company's revenues. In Musical Chairs… DAN GOLDBERG, SVP OF WARNER MUSIC ARTIST SERVICES, TO EXIT WMG AFTER 12 YEARS The SVP oversaw Warner’s e-commerce, tour merchandising, VIP Experiences, ticketing, and fan club businesses. In an email to employees, the executive says he'll be exploring an "exciting new opportunity." His final day will be Friday, July 2. He has worked with the firm since March 2014. And in music tech news… Deezer and Firestone join forces to promote new artists Firestone has created an official playlist called Newcomer on Deezer. The playlist will consist of 57 songs from promising new and rising musicians. Firestone will support the campaign with audio and display advertising, as well as extensive promotional activities via their own channels. Every month between now and December 2021, a new official Firestone's playlist will be released on Deezer. That concludes today's update.
