“Generally love the show but I found today’s episode offensive. I’m not sure why the hosts were so shocked that prisoners might have compassion and selflessness and a willingness to help. First of all there are innocent people remanded or sentenced. Secondly committing a crime does not instantly mean you’ve lost empathy and compassion.
Yes it’s great that they helped out. Frankly I’d have been more surprised if they had not!
Also I agree, I thought the ‘punchline’ was going to be something less than positive for those that helped. That was a great gesture reducing or commuting sentences.”
