“I love true crime podcasts, especially when they are comedy true crime podcasts. When I realized MFM was the inspiration for 2 of my absolute favourites of all time (ATWWD and Wine and Crime) I figured it would be right up my alley. I was wrong. I have listened to the first 23 episodes, as well as the mini episodes, and it was soooooooo incredibly inferior that I cannot continue. The amount of victim blaming is disgusting. The amount of inaccurate information is shocking, and their enjoyment of their ignorance is off-putting. I do not expect them to be experts, but I do expect basic things, for example knowing manitoba is a province and Brandon is a city within that province. The most basic google search will tell you that. This podcast has proven to be thoroughly disappointing.”

Oddly, they don't strike me as trying to be disrespectful to the victims, just plain old "gallows humor" - more like cautionary tales, done a lightly.
