A lot of the negative reviews are hypercritical
We’re in the middle of a pandemic that has literally everyone feeling exhausted, uninspired and frustrated. I think everyone giving this a one star is failing to realize that Karen and Georgia are humans who are experiencing this stuff too and are still having to churn out a bunch of content to meet the expectations of their audience. I’m not a huge fan of when the stories aren’t true crime related and it does get a little frustrating to discover that a week’s episode is just another live show but I’m sure my friends don’t love it when I avoid their zoom calls and their offers to do stuff together. The whole world is spent. If you haven’t been feeling the best during this insane era for modern humanity, then you have absolutely no room to talk. Be thankful they haven’t called it quits and be thankful for the banter that makes you feel a little less alone without actually having to be less alone. This podcast is great and if the political correctness somehow bothers you then you need to do some introspection to see why inclusivity and acceptance hurts you because that is most definitely a YOU problem. Stay sexy and don’t leave bad reviews because you’re a bored, sad little person with a narrow view of the world. UPDATE: It has been many moons since my initial review. There’s still hardly any effort being put into the main episodes. It is largely reruns and it seems like Karen and Georgia aren’t even friends anymore. I am so tired of the stories that aren’t even true crime related and the one story per episode thing. I do feel like Karen does a lot of the heavy lifting and Georgia is just along for the ride. At this point it feels like they’re doing this because the paycheck is good and not because they genuinely enjoy it and that’s a total bummer. I can’t really recommend this podcast anymore. Maybe the older episodes that were pre2019. I’ve really tried to hang on and back them up but MFM has basically become the worst podcast on the entire network. So congrats to them on signing the other great pods but total bummer that that seems to be what they put effort into. That and making new merch off of the things that were said back when the episodes were great. Idk man. This podcast feels like a money grab now and that makes me sad.

Dark humor. Blatant, dark, humor. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way. I can't talk to most friends about dark stuff like this without looking insane. I LOVE IT!Read full review »

I just finished episode 2 and the happy, alternate world in which RFK lives sounds like the America we could become if we elect Bernie Sanders. He's our RFK in disguise. Love the podcast. It has me Googling JonBenet at work instead of actually working. Five stars for that.
