Mikaela credits Elliott Smith with helping 'spark' her professional music career, as it was her cover of Twilight that helped bring her to the attention of a booking agent while she was still a college student. She's now a firmly established artist with her 2023 album And Southern Star released to critical claim by Kill Rock Stars (in another Elliott parallel).
