Erin Moriarty - The Best in the Business
I have few idols, because as a reporter I believe in fairness, examination, discussion, research, investigation, listening, a balanced point of view, a penchant for TV and podcast production along with unbiased storytelling. Does that sound arrogant and preachy? Well truthfulness isn’t the most common mantra of media outlets these days. Most of it is about ratings, advertising revenue, manipulative reality television (feed them alcohol) and the resulting manufactured drama that ensues. It’s so repetitious - mind numbing TV. Please turn it off. I digress because this piece is about a beacon of light - the accomplished and respected, Erin Moriarty. As a reporter, your primary goal is tell a story with truth, so that your audience can decide who or what they want to believe. Today, via streaming and social media, there is too much manipulation. What is truth and what isn’t? The audience needs to be treated as people who can think for themselves. After all, as television viewers and podcast listeners you should never be taken for fools and patronized. As a fellow electronic journalist, Erin Moriarty, is the best of the best. Erin, thanks for being an inspiration to those of us who want to investigate, report facts with intellect, without bias, and share a story with impartiality. A narrative that is thought provoking and makes us question. Truthfull storytelling is hard. It requires constant evaluation of facts, revisions, copious script edits, investigation, teamwork and prose that speaks to as many people as possible. Erin, you set the bar higher than any journalist I have ever known. You are my idol. Paul Wilson

The episodes are too short, the ads too annoying (I get the need for ads but these come with no warning (like the middle of a sentence) and are blaring and just...Read full review »
