Bold, ambitious and daring, Dr Eyitayo Owolabi, with her meagre savings and a promise of a teaching assistantship, relocated to South Africa to pursue a master's degree in Nursing in 2015. On getting to South Africa, she quickly realised her promise of a teaching assistantship position could barely cover her subsistence, leaving her to find resources to cover her rent, data collection and other needs or give up. How did she navigate this funding challenge? Listen to her share her story, challenges and many wins on my PhD experience podcast.
