Why would someone think Christianity is vital to social work? If anything, it seems like Christianity would be in conflict with the ethical code of social work. For instance, pointing out the fact that Christianity is vital indicates a belief that Christians or somehow superior to others, which is completely against our ethics. Other than trying to convert or convince others to live the way Christians believe people should live (manipulating people to not have an abortion etc.), I have no clue why someone would believe Christianity is vital.
