In this fascinating episode , the first of a small series, Dr Supriya and Karin are joined by internationally recognised NPD expert and psychologist Dr Elinor Greenberg, who is famed for her work in explaining NPD to the general public and working directly with narcissists and those who have been affected by them. Elinor discusses the essential concept of 'whole object relations' to explain why the narcissist sees people as only 'all good' or 'all bad'. She describes the 3 types of narcissist - as first identified by James F Masterson, with whom she studied,  and explains her concept of the 'GOD defense' as demonstrated by exhibitionist narcissists.
