Description
Never Too Early is back for season 2! And we are starting off with a special episode on a SATURDAY  For our first episode of the second season of Never Too Early, we have Melati Wijsen on the podcast. Melati is a 21 year old changemaker and movement builder from Bali, Indonesia. Her journey as a changemaker started at 12yrs old when she founded Bye Bye Plastic Bags with my younger sister and best friend, Isabel. Since 2013, they have been leading the movement driven by youth and we’ve also created the people movement One Island One Voice and the social enterprise, Mountain Mamas. She’s had the opportunity to speak on global stages such as TED and the UN headquarters in New York. From CNN Heroes to Forbes 30 under 30, she traveled the world and filmed my first feature film: Bigger Than Us, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and went on to be nominated for a CESARS. Through the experience of the film, she discovered my love for hosting and navigating through other peoples stories. Recently, among other things, she has started a new series hosting conversations with young changemakers from around the world with her platform YOUTHTOPIA. In this podcast episode, we talk about how Melati became one of the pioneers in the youth changemaking space, what her changemaking is fueled by, and how to stay true to yourself while making a difference.
