Morality without Authority is powerless
Mr Lindsey, I very much enjoy your podcast. It’s very informative and technical enough to stretch my brain at times. Yet, it feels like talking with a friend over a beer. That said, I must disagree with you a bit with regard to Truth. I agree with you, individual men can arrive at an agreed upon moral code(to a degree) on their own. It lacks one major necessity, though to unify it, authority. Without Authority, morality becomes, at its basest sense, a subjective convenience. By this I mean, You could agree that lying is wrong. Nonetheless, If lying would serve you better in a particular situation, you’ll lie without remorse. Truth without authority, by necessity, is relatively powerless.

James Lindsey gives us the education we should have had but didn’t receive. Appreciate the intellectual clarity he brings to the current cultural moment.

Sometimes it’s a bit too brainy, but sticking with it is always very rewarding. Amazing his clarity of thought and ability to fit so much into a short talk. Thanks for doing this podcast!

There might be an interesting philosophical discussion about truth and will to power to be had, but listing in detail the ways that 2 + 2 ≠ 5 was not entertaining
