“10 min into the latest episode and I had to stop. As it started, I heard a plug for Walgreens. Then a request to go fill out a survey for more targeted ads. Then a request to leave a 5-star Amazon review of his book. Okay, I’ll let that slide. The content began and a few minutes later it was interrupted with a plug for betterhelp, then a plug for Indeed. I was shocked. Good value content doesn’t need to be so commercialized. The ratio was way off. 30% of runtime is ads/requests to build his brand? I appreciate the actual content and that’s what I’m here for, but it just feels cheapened. Sorry.”
