Currently, there is an app called DiagnosUS that often has diabetic retinopathy portion (answering if the photo shows diabetic retinopathy or not) or even grading the severity - to win $. Now, there are times when the photo is incorrectly graded and you do have the option to report that with your own experience and describe why it’s incorrect - so training the algorithim is possible here.
