Most educational (college) textbooks are resold multiple times over because they are no longer used by students after a semester or two. In addition, textbooks are very expensive so buying second-grade editions are money savers. When an NFT is resold in a marketplace like OpenSea, the creator of the project will receive a royalty of up to 10%. Pearson is looking into tapping into this areas to make additional profit by NFT-ing digital textbooks.
