“Hi Tom, I’m a huge fan of you and your content. I work with my 6 month old labradoodle puppy on your kickstarter lessons daily and he is becoming a very obedient and well behaved little puppy. I have recently purchased your e collar as our training has been going so well. My question is this: I am just starting conditioning now with the collar. The first few sessions went very well, however the last couple sessions he has started to cower and run away after 2 -3 minutes of training. He hides at the top of the basement stairs and refuses to participate. He has a very fluffy coat and does not register the collar on the low condition levels you recommended . I have had to up the level to 18-20 for him to even notice it (look around like a fly on his back). The sessions end quickly with him seemingly very sad and just lies on the floor- body language and eyes very sad. He normally loves training and is very happy and eager to participate. I’m scared to try again and ruin the awesome relationship I have developed with him!! Any tips to reset ? Is he too young?”
