All you could want from a tennis podcast.
Courtney and Ben are both journalists following the tours and writing for big publications, but have come to tennis writing through blogging in the age of social media. As such I think their viewpoints are much more relatable to newer tennis fans than maybe you would get from someone who had been writing in the sports section for thirty years (not that there aren’t some good ones of those too!). No Challenges Remaining looks at the big stories on the ATP and WTA tours in an informative, fun and sometimes slightly irreverent way. They look at all aspects, not just the wins and losses, but also the business and politics of the tennis tours, the stories behind the players and coaches, and the more funny, gossipy stuff that gets a good gif circulating on twitter. ATP and WTA get equal coverage. They talk about top players but also those lower ranked ones who may have an interesting story but don’t tend to get mentioned as much in the daily paper. It’s supplemented with occasional interviews with players and fellow journos which tend to be a bit more eye-opening that the usual press room stuff as Ben and Courtney have a good knack of getting them to drop that media-training facade. Well worth subscribing!
