A great podcast for musicians and fans alike
This is a FANTASTIC podcast. Jude Gold “helicopters” to a new location to meet with top guitarists on their own turf; he talks with them, he jams with them, and he gets them to spill all of their secrets. The interviews are wide ranging, touching on each artists’ technique, their history, and because he’s so obviously a fan of many of these guitarists’ work, he asks the fanboy questions that I would be too terrified to ask if I were to run into, say, Joe Satriani, on the street. One of the big highlights for me so far has been the Oz Noy episode (of whom I am a HUGE fan,) where Oz dives into the way he approaches ii-V-I progressions - definitely opened my eyes to a new way of thinking about it, while I was simultaneously geeking out about his use of stacked delays. HIGHLY recommended - Jude puts a ton of energy into these podcasts, and asks all the right questions.

I love what you are doing! It's great to see an artist with another talented musician talking about what they love. Anybody who listens will gain a ton of respect for all these players.Read full review »
