Disingenuous
Mom has a very Kate Gosselin vibe, but is desperately trying to not come off that way. Dad, much like John Gosselin, is basically just along for the ride. Megan (Mom) definitely controls the family and seems to have the attention span of a gnat… much to the detriment of her children. She wants people to believe she and her husband are, on one hand, very progressive, but is quick to ignore and delete comments on her YouTube channel, questioning her stance on the LGBTQ+ community. They are devout followers of the LDS (Mormon) church, but are not open about their anti-LGBTQ+ stance, as they know it will be detrimental to their “brand”. They are also not open about how their at-home essential oils business seems to support nine children and no part of their supposed work life is ever shown. There seems to be no office, no inventory… nothing. They claim to “unschool” their children, essentially allowing the kids to choose what they want to learn. Needless to say, watching their 12 year old attempt to read, in one YouTube video, was incredibly painful and really just such a shame. They seem to jump from home to home (one home was an RV, packed with all nine kids) and are currently in a rental home that looks like it’s steps away from becoming a future episode of Hoarders, crammed with thrift store junk. Every inch of wall is covered in thrift store finds and anywhere a piece of furniture can go, Megan fills that space to the brim. Megan and Mike are only interested in one thing… making money off of followers online, even announcing a new Patreon channel in this podcast. They use their children to build their views, shoving cameras in their faces everywhere they go. I genuinely feel for their kids. Currently, they are raising rabbits for meat in their suburban backyard… yuck. My advice… steer clear of these people. There are so many very genuine people to listen to, if you like podcasts. Don’t waste your time on these two.

As I listen to each episode I find myself saying “Yes. Yes!! I have found my people!!” Megan and Mike articulate the ideas I’ve had for my children so much better than I! Hearing others think the same gives me such a feeling of community. I’m also getting some great new ideas and ways of thinking...Read full review »

This has been a great discovery. I love how the couple plays to one another’s strengths! And so many good things to talk about.
