Narration is so bad
Infuriating podcast. The interviews are great, the story is great, an extremely interesting subject - all ruined by the frankly bizarre tone the presenter used. I think he was going for some sort of ‘matey’ type tone as though he was talking to a friend in a pub, but it came off patronising and like he was talking down. He also asked to need to insert himself and his narration everywhere. Maybe he didn’t have enough interview material, I don’t know, but it would just be getting interesting and then his matey, jokey tone explaining things like you would to a child cuts in again. Made it unlistenable.

I was hooked by this podcast all the way through. Grippingly told and completely bingeworthy, a fascinating account of an almost unbelievable story. I really liked the reporter’s personable style of delivery.

So well told, I loved the way their lives and the events were portrayed. Very respectful and compassion
