Achingly funny and my weekly treat!
I’ve been listening to Fish since about episode episode 250 and it’s genuinely the highlight of my week! It’s brilliantly funny, surprisingly educational, and wonderfully irreverent. It’s deeply disappointing to see the low-scoring reviews criticise humour at the death of a monarch 825 years ago and utterly infuriating to see the abuse of Rosie Jones who was a superb guest and doesn’t deserve negativity, let alone straight-up ableist abuse. All of the guests are superb, without fail, and the regulars are wonderful. I have no hesitation in recommending this podcast to friends and often do. Anna’s acerbic wit, Dan’s questionable facts, Andy’s hilarious self-deprecation, and James’s brilliant calculated facts combine to make an absolutely superb weekly break from the stresses of life. It’s given me thousands of brilliant facts and anecdotes to share on everything from the Ancient World to AI, all while remaining completely approachable and lighthearted. It’s my favourite podcast by some way and go a decade without missing a week is an extraordinary feat, and they haven’t put a foot wrong as far as I’m concerned. The easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given. Thank you for a moment of joy and laughter, occasionally in public, every week!

QI is one of my favourite shows so I thought this would be a nice supplement in between episodes. This podcast is so good I might even like it more than the TV show. Well done!

This is a great show. Good pace and just the right length. Interesting and funny. I highly recommend it as a companion to the TV show.

I was so enjoying the show, thinking "I should tell my brother and parents about this." And then someone drops an F-bomb. Really guys?! I can swear like a sailor, 'cause I was one, but choose not to use that language in public. I'm off to a newer podcast horizon with better...Read full review »
