“In the episode titled “Jax Taylor Blasts Brittany’s Drinking”, Zack spreads misinformation that insinuates vaccines may cause autism or regression. This alone should result in the episode being reported and taken down or edited.
However, Zack ALSO claims to care about the autism community with his work, but found it appropriate to call disability advocates who are women, “woke women who usually have bright red hair and a saviour complex”.
I am autistic and do professional and advocacy work with the autistic community and professionals. I also have an autistic child with substantial support needs. This man’s views are incredibly harmful and damaging to us.
Also, a large proportion of disability advocates he disparages ARE DISABLED, including AUTISTIC.
Autistic women in particular face an increased likelihood of adversity throughout our lives, from being minimised, dehumanised, face ableist and sexist stigma, are unsupported, mislabelled, as well as abused, PROMPTING SELF-ADVOCACY.
Only now we are harassed by NON-AUTISTIC MEN who act incredibly offensive and ignorant towards us by minimising OUR VOICES and demeaning us.
I don’t care if he has a family member who is autistic, or if he claims to have done “helpful” work for the autism community. He spreads outdated medical model and dehumanising views about autism and harasses disabled women.
This is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING and should not be tolerated by any streaming service or platform.”
