Wanted so badly to like this!
I love Betches and have for years, and I’ve always been interested in true crime so this seemed perfect! But the hosts often laugh or seem blasè about details (such as the ransom note from the JBR episode). That turned the mood or rhetoric from interesting explanation of case files to a kind of immature look at a mature subject. I understand wanting to be relatable to a millennial demographic but even as a millennial it seems to be in poor taste and their pontifications can sometimes come off as air-headed, when it’s clear the hosts are well educated and extremely organized. I, myself, would prefer more editing and attention to the case, rather than speculation that can alienate a listener or trivialize their often well-deducted points.

The content of the podcasts and the one girl with the softer accent (the main presenter of info on the Brittany Murphy podcast) is brilliant. The girl with the stronger accent that keeps interrupting unfortunately ruins the credibility of the podcast.

Listened to Princess Di episode first . . . They could not be more clueless about history, current events, etc. and apparently just reading from a list of conspiracies. Equivocating on basic facts. Yikes.
