Both disappointed and disgusted
I have never written a bad review before, because I find that the internet is full of them, but for this I had to make an exception. The angle you have taken with this podcast is both disappointing and disgusting. The way you have implied blame should be with the foster parents of William is absolutely disgusting. These people have selflessly opened up their home to a child in need and instead of appreciate that you have tried your hardest to fabricate negligence that doesn’t exist. Do you not think they feel upset and guilty enough by Williams disappearance? Also the way you have painted FACS is very biased. You should look into why William was put into care and what his family circumstances were like prior to help from FACS instead of paint a false narrative that he was taken from a loving family. In addition this ‘culture of secrecy’ you speak of is called privacy and confidentiality. FACS are merely respecting the privacy and confidentiality of the children and their families by keeping these details away from journalists who will spin a story in any way they wish, with no respect for the child or their families. Lastly the way you speak of the poor boy who drowned and tried to imply that these two instances point towards a broken system. Children are involved in accidents, both with their genetic parents, with foster parents and with other family members. To point the finger at foster families and FACS for these accidents taking place is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself.

So their big drawcard is the biological parents and grandmother being involved in the podcast, but they know next to nothing about the case or William’s life at the time of his disappearance. The foster system is being portrayed as some sort of cruel, child-snatching machine. The questions...Read full review »
