“I have no idea what UK hospitals do, but you are wrong about how US hospitals handle mortality cases. All US hospitals are accredited and certified by the Joint Commission. Beyond that, hospitals have quality committees who audit charts and report and track deaths and deteriorations. Hospitals also have to report their data to CMS. There are so many entities beyond the hospital that monitor and certify hospitals. There are hundreds of checks and balances to keep patients safe. It comes down to doctors and nurses reporting suspicious behavior or “coincidences” such as with the Letby case. If management would have listened to Dr Brearey at the beginning, she would have been stopped before killing or permanently harming many newborns. Instead of using your cohosts limited medical knowledge (she has none), get someone on who knows about these things.”
